The Michael Lenson Scholarship Fund at the Montclair Art Museum has been established to celebrate and honor the life of Michael Lenson. Contributions made to the fund will provide tuition and materials for studio instruction during any teaching session at the MAM Yard School of Art for students in grades K-12 who otherwise could not afford nor have the opportunity to attend.
Acclaimed artist and educator, Michael Lenson, lived his life as an artist and was a beloved instructor of painting at the Montclair Art Museum for many years. MAM is fortunate to have some of his paintings in our permanent collection. The decision to establish this fund with the Montclair Art Museum was an easy one for his son, Barry, knowing his father’s lifelong goal of helping others through his love of art.
